My Dancing Girls

by Karen Bove on January 23, 2012

The granddaughters were here and the studio was set up for portraits in their “beautiful dresses.” I’d planned formal posed shots of the girls, both separately and together. They had other ideas. Who can sit still when there’s live music being played in the other room? The Simple Cavemen proved irresistible and we got some terrific shots that we couldn’t have planned if we’d tried.

Isn’t music amazing? And isn’t it so much fun to see how kids just naturally move to the music without a bit of self-consciousness? They just FEEL it and MOVE to it without hesitation. There’s a lesson there, no?
